How Resin Surfaces Should Be Used
Resin bound surfaces installed by Decorative Drives and Patios Ltd are designed for pedestrian and light vehicle traffic.
Resin bound systems should not be neglected and care should be taken to ensure normal use of the surface.
Our resin bound systems are laid at a minimum of 15mm depth for general vehicle and foot traffic.
Use of vehicles of over 7.5 tonnes should be avoided.
Customers should also take into consideration when in use of gardening machinery, car jacks, bike stands, and any heavy or sharp-edged items are near the system Decorative Drives and Patios Ltd cannot be liable for damage caused by this.

Immediate After-care
The PU systems used in our projects have high chemical resistance.
Extreme care should be taken once the systems are laid to avoid exposing the surface to any chemicals as the resin will take time to build this resistance over the curing stage.
It is also especially important that nothing touches the resin before it cures as this can cause imperfections such as footprints, animal paw prints or foreign objects falling into system.
All areas will be red & white taped off and blocked to avoid any foot traffic afterwards but Decorative Drives and Patios Ltd cannot be held accountable for any imperfections caused after installation.
General Cleaning
To remove any general debris such as leaves sand or dirt a standard stiff Brussel sweeping brush can be used. The use of a water hose will also clean the surface.
It is known that regular brushing and washing with water is the main method for maintenance of resin bound surfacing. Staining can arise from debris if they are not cleaned away and left for a prolonged period.
Most stains and debris can be removed with a jet wash (maximum 150 bar rating). Customers should be vigilant when using a jet wash/pressure washer and keep a minimum of around 200-250mm above the resin bound surface to avoid the risk of damaging the surface.
Weed Removal
Our resin bound systems are weed resistant, but any resin surface is not fully guaranteed to be weed free. Surface contamination can occur from a variety of things such as seed dispersal from animals crossing, wind pollination which is where changes in weather such as strong winds or downpours cause surrounding trees or plant seedlings to fall onto or blow onto the surface and then pollinate on the surface. If seedlings do start to grow, they can be simply pulled out by hand, ensuring the root is pulled fully out with the weed.
If it seems the seedlings are deep rooted, they can be killed off with standard mild weed killer. If you are using a stronger weed killer, make sure to wash away thoroughly with a hose or pressure washer.
Strong weed killers that are not watered down could discolour the surface of your project.
Dry Steering & Tyre Marks
To limit the chance of damaging to the surface of your resin bound system customers should take care when driving on and off the systems.
Although resin bound driveways are extremely durable customers should take care and avoid dry steering on the surface as it can damage the system over time.
